Did this loop with Liam Cooney who unfortunately didn't manage to finish the tab. Six Husbands Tr was dry rock with all of the ledges having beautiful holds and the ladders all securely in place. We split at the Edmands Col Cutoff jct on Six Husbands Tr where he did an out and back and then went up to the jct with Gulfside and I took Six Husbands up and summited then went down the N half of the Mt Jefferson Loop to Gulfside and met back up at the Six Husbands and Gulfside jct. At the Wamsutta Tr jct he went up and I took Great Gulf Tr to Chandler Brook Tr. There was a dusting of snow on the summit cone but the snow from Saturday when I summited via Caps Ridge Tr was already melted. The rocks and leaves were slick and slippery going down Chandler Brook Tr and I observed ice in the brook below the 2nd crossing; they were dry when I came back up at the end of the day. I may have made the worst vanilla pun of my life to some poor girl at the Chandler Brook Tr and Great Gulf Tr jct. |
