 | Comments: |
The trail was damper than anticipated, and we had a couple rain showers pass over. The dampness and leaves inspired caution on the handful of smooth slabs along the stream. The color was already a little past peak, but still worthwhile. Expect the color to fade rapidly however, due to the drought. For the love of all that is holy, avoid the Kancamagus highway for the next weekend or 2. It was literally bumper to bumper, stop and crawl traffic from Lincoln to the high point. It took 3 agonizing hours. Never again. |
