Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked on East Side Road in Wentworth next to mailbox #190. We had driven up the road a short ways to check that we were in the right spot. Saw a light in the house at the base of the road so knocked on the door. The woman who answered was very nice, said this was the ATV road to Ames and that she had hiked it herself. Asked us to park on the shoulder of East Side as her road has shared access. When we reached the jar at the summit, we found a nice note she had left asking hikers to stop by and say hello on the way down and that she hoped we all enjoyed our hikes.

Comments
Comments: Followed the ATV trail all the way to a fire pit just below the summit. The road was pretty wide most of the way, started out easy, then moderate then a steady, sometimes relentless climb to the height of land. Here it headed straight for the summit, meandering along the ridgeline. Once at the fire pit, it was a short bushwhack to that Tostitos jar! Some good views despite a foggy start and overcast skies. Back down the same way!
