we arrived early (7:30) and were the 8th car. When we left at 11 there were over 100 cars parked down the Ravine Lodge Road. The upper gate is closed so add a 1/2 mile walk in to the Ravine Lodge and trails. |

the first log bridge on Gorge Brook is getting worn. Gaps and loose sections |

One big oak leaner, otherwise the trail is fine and looks like it has been recently cleared |

lots of dogs, all friendly |

 | Lost and Found: |
a mask hanging on a tree about 1 mile up. Lots of litter on the summit. Pack It OUT people. |

No view this morning, too much fog at the summit, the trail is very dry and dusty. The "last reliable water" on Gorge Brook barely had a trickle. We expected to see crowds by mid morning and did we ever. Dozens of folks climbing up as we came down. It's high foliage season so pick your peaks accordingly. |
