I selected this hike to avoid the crowds on the more popular trails/peaks, and I only saw a few people all morning.
Trails are in great shape. Conditions are dry.
Mt Wolf summit offers only partial views, but it was completely shrouded in clouds when I arrived.
Gordon Pond is a delightful spot. Very peaceful and tranquil.
I also ventured to Gordon Falls. This is a lesser known waterfall. There was water falling, but the flow rate is exceptionally low due to the drought. I think this falls would be quite nice with usual flow rates. I'll go back to visit this at a future date.
Fall foliage is beautiful right now in the Whites. Really stunning color. |
