Great day for #47, colors changing, nice temps, winds above tree line on the cliffs blowing very hard. Section between Bondcliff and Bond had gusts (75mph+) early in the day forcing some crawling.
Water plentiful at various spots at lower elevation on Bondcliff trail (from LW: 6.05 mi /2050ft, 6.34 mi/2300ft, 6.8mi.2400ft) Bone dry at crossings 2800 ft and above
Setup base camp at ~5.4 mi from LW, light packed to peaks, beautiful overall. |
