Trails in good condition.
Bog bridges on Lost Pond Trail at stretch before meeting with Wildcat Ridge are deteriorating.
A couple of small trees across Wildcat Ridge Trail are easy to step over. Otherwise a few trees high above Wildcat Ridge Trail can be walked under or require a slight duck. Many trees cut on Wildcat Ridge so the path is clear. |

| Comments: |
The ledges were dry today so the footing was secure. There is little opportunity for erosion on Wildcat Ridge Trail since the surfaces are mostly rock in the steep grades.
There are wood steps or chiseled steps in some ledge sections. There are many rock steps.
This hike would be challenging in wet or icy conditions. The Wildcat Ridge Trail from the junction with Lost Pond Trail to Wildcat E is steep with only brief relief on short flat sections. The footing is rocky.
There are a lot of up and downs along the ridge walk.
The ski area tram was not operating today.
The leaves are turning colors in Pinkham Notch.
The signed water source on the Wildcat Ridge Trail appears to be a muddy brook bed.
Good views of the Presidential Range and the eastern ravines from various points on the ridge and good views of Carter Notch from Wildcat A. Unfortunately, overcast skies made for gloomy views today although the summits came in to view in early afternoon.
