Made a loop of Cabot today, starting from Unknown Pond and coming out on the York Pond Trailhead. Checked out the tent sites, which looked well-maintained and recently used. I've been hiking for a few years now, and the hike up and down Cabot was easily the quietest I've ever done. It was eerie, at times, with how little noise there was, which is why I nearly had a brown incident when a crow cawed not 10ft from me at one point! There were some very friendly gray jays at the cabin. |
