Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Thank you to the earlier posters for flagging that the parking lot had a washout with rocks that could bang up a car -and that there’s a roadside pullout slightly down toward Bartlett on the opposite side. We grabbed one of the two roadside spots.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: So low there practically were none
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Great shape - that said the scree and erosion near the first (lower) ledges is tricky
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw one. I’m not a dog owner but as for Trail conditions for dogs, there’s just one tough scramble and water from brooks if needed although not much along the trail.
Bugs
Bugs: None! Yay!

Comments
Comments: Great fast hike! Great views and interesting southerly view into Chocorua, Passaconaway, Paugus, Sleepers and Tri’s and well north to the Presi’s, plus more. For the 52WAV list, I’m not sure the true summit is required but there’s a clearly discernible herd path to the left of the trail after the second ledge as you continue toward Big Attitash. Trail ascends about 100 yards to the top. No views but a lovely clearing for a break or camp site. Also did not see the yellow arrow around 0.6 mi When the trail crosses a logging road per the WMG, although a large pile of branches clearly shows that logging road is not the trail.
