Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Only about a half dozen cars were at the FS lot off Base Station Rd when I got there around 6:30 AM. When I returned around 1:30 PM, the lot was full and cars were parked roadside. Guess the unusual summer cold didn’t faze anyone

Comments
Comments: The trails were very dry for the most part, with some minor mud and very minor black ice. Definitely not light traction material yet, though. Very cold for late summer, particularly on top of Mts. Monroe and Washington. Felt good to dust off some of my winter gear, although with how rainless this summer has been, I’m nervous as to what the snow situation will be like this winter.
