Comments
Comments: Skookumchuck Trail was mostly dry with just a slight bit of minor mud. We saw no one else on this trail this morning. A few isolated trees with fall colors.

Garfield Ridge Trail to Lafayette was windy this morning, but not too crowded. Lafayette to Little Haystack was busy and windy in places, but not COVID-era busy. Nice undercast. Disappointing to see people trampling the alpine vegetation so they could "socially distance." Perhaps if one thinks they're going to catch COVID while moving along a mountain ridge in 30 mile per hour winds, they might be better off elsewhere.

Quiet again south of Little Haystack. Scramble ledges were dry. Liberty was windy, but also not too crowded. Lots of unmitigated erosion between Liberty and Flume, as well as "social distancing" damage. Had Flume to ourselves with some sun.

Osseo was also mostly dry with a few minor mud patches. Some stretches of the trail were difficult because the soil is so dry; very easy to slide and fall. Lincoln Woods Trail was very quiet this afternoon.

Light rain started in the notch around 5.
