Lots of crossing, but none were an issue. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A few blowdowns on the Twinway about halfway between Zealand and Guyot. Drainage ditches on the Twinway and upper part of Bondcliff Trail could use a good cleaning. Few easily passable snow patches on the Twinway between Zealand, largest patches seen around the shaded areas of Zeacliff Pond. Saw some AMC paid trail crew on Bondcliff trail taking care of blowdowns in the area. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Hannah had a great day - she was a little tired in the morning after hiking the previous two days, but did great with the terrain and the distance, and even got to chase a pine marten up a tree. Not much water after the Guyot Shelter spur and absolutely none between Bond and Bondcliff, so plan accordingly. SO PROUD of my hiking buddy! |
|
| Bugs: |
Black flies on the ridge, especially when there was no breeze - most vicious on Bondcliff summit. |

Fabulous hike to finish out May. Day started out cloudy but sun came out just before we hit Guyot, and stayed for the rest of the day. Warm and a bit humid on the ridge, definitely glad we refilled our water bottles at Guyot shelter. Awesome views along the ridge, saw only about half a dozen other people the whole day. Wildflowers starting to bloom along the Twinway, very pretty. Long day, but a perfect one for a trip to the Bonds!! |
