| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parking lot was full but room to park on the driveway in or on the shoulder of Tripoli Rd. Probably about 12-15 cars when we got there about 10 am. Way more favorable situation than the Osceola trailhead we drove by. There the lot was full and cars were parked on the shoulder of Tripoli Rd about a quarter mile each way. Sign near the beginning of the WMNF part of Tripoli road directs you to park on the south shoulder when necessary. |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
A couple of easy crossings near the trailhead. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Only real issue was a nasty spruce blowdown just before the first of the 3 knobs if descending towards Tripoli Rd. Too low to crawl under wearing a pack. The top surface has a lot of spiky branch stubs for impaling delicate body areas when clambering over it. |

Not an issue. |

| Comments: |
In the interests of redlining Waterville Valley, this was the first time I ascended Tecumseh from Tripoli Rd of the 6 times I have done it. Excellent Covid trail etiquette practiced by everyone we passed on the trail.
The 2019 survey benchmark at the summit is inscribed with the newly measured height of Tecumseh as 3997 above sea level. When I said this out loud this caused a near riot by the dozen or so people at the summit. They should have measured the mountain at low tide.
Lone Wolf and I had a good hike. |
