We parked at the Pine Link trailhead on Dolly Copp Road. The lot had overflowed and there were lots of cars on the road when we arrived maybe around 11:30am. Parking along the road was doable though. Just be sure you’re far enough off. |

No blowdowns that I recall. Pine Mtn Loop Trail is very well blazed in yellow. The road is obviously not blazed and I don’t think there was much blaze on Ledge Trail but I may be misremembering that one. I don’t recall the blazing on Pine Mtn Trail either but I’m guessing that it was adequately blazed in yellow. |

We saw at least one which was leashed. This would be a good hike for most dogs. Short, but completely dry so may need to bring water. It’s also appears to be more heavily trafficked than it used to be so it’s probably a good idea to have your dog leashed. |

A nice hike I co-lead with Redline Guiding. Beautiful day for it. Not too hot or too cold and a bit windy but nothing bad. Lots of sun and no peaks in the clouds...what a beaut! We ascended the steeper Ledge Trail and descended the more gradual Pine Mtn Loop Trail and Pine Mtn Rd. We connected the two by walking Pine Mtn Trail where we took the short spurs to Angel View, Gorham View (signed), and Chapel view (signed).
The trails and ledge were all very dry. Lots of nice people out enjoying the day :) |
