On Lincoln Brook trail, there were several lengthy sections of the trail that had very significant mud and a little running water. Many of the wet rocks were slippery, so watch where you step. There were several down trees but they did not completely obscure the trail. |

It was a really nice day for Owl's Head. We met no one once we got on the bushwhack. This was our first time bushwhacking, but the herd path was very easy to follow. The landslide was a lot steeper than I remember from 2018. When you get about half way up the slide, you get good views of Franconia ridge. As a side note, unless you plan to get to the trailhead late, it is probably better just to carry a day pack because both times I've found that I carried camping gear, and then didn't need it. Personally, I found it quite easy. It is mostly flat walking until you get to Owl's Head Path. From there to the summit is difficult, but then it is another easy hike back. |
