Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked at the Ferncroft lot. No other vehicles on arrival. The lot was completely full on return just before 11. It was nice to see cars abiding by no parking signs on roadway. These mountains are a true gem of the community and beyond

Water Crossing Notes: Very low,still took the old birch balance beam over

Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails in excellent shape. Just the one girthy birch stepover mentioned in yesterday's report by Steve. Thanks for the hard work keeping the trails in great shape!

Bugs: I inhaled two black flies on the ascent but they weren't biting

Comments: Excellent sunrise hike and then on to East Sleeper, Mt Whiteface, and Passaconaway. I met ten other hikers on the descent. Beautiful day for these peaks.
