Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Thursday, September 3, 2020
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: 3 other vehicles when we arrived at 8:15, the lot was almost full (14) at 1:00. There's another lot across the road for Rattlesnake MT that holds probably 25 vehicles. There's also a lot at the Mt Percival Trail trailhead a little further east on 113. Parking along 113 is forbidden and when we returned at 1:00 there was one of electronic message signs at the lot entrance that read "No Parking Along 113".
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The two I remember had little water.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: All in all in decent condition and easy to follow. All trails are blazed in yellow but many of the blazes on the rocks were worn which led to a few stops and starts. There's generous signage at each intersection. All trails were very wet today; made for slow going on the descent. A few blowdowns that were easy to walk around.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: I imagine it would be a difficult for some on the steeper, rocky sections.
Bugs
Bugs: Only on the descent.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Oh, hey! Thanks for reminding me. You know those little bags of dog poop that you left behind for someone else to deal with? Either take them with you when you leave or leave Fido and Sniffy at home. Or just have your pooch "go" in the woods instead of pretending you care. There was a paper mask hanging on the kiosk. Likely no one wants that back.

Comments
Comments: A beautiful hike, we did the suggested clockwise loop. The trails were damp, as were the ladders. We started to ascend the first ladder, but it was far too slippery and knew that the rock above would be just as slippery. We didn't want our names in the news a part of an SAR event.
