| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parked at Lincoln Woods. Arrived at 7:15 and lot was pretty empty |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |

|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
I took Black Pond Trail and there are 3 brook crossings that were relatively easy, and I don't love water crossings. The black Pond trail is no longer a bushwack but a well defined trail. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
All trails were easily passable, some mud to negotiate but not bad. The Owl's head path is everything I've read about. Very challenging. There were 2 cairns to show the start of the trail. I read to stay Right going up and Right going down and down was much easier sticking to that plan. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
1 dog on trail |

none |

| Comments: |
Sunny day and the views from the slide were beautiful. Never saw 1 person until I was 3/4 way up slide and they were coming down.
It took me 8.5 hours with 30 minutes of non hiking time for lunch and pictures. Very peaceful day. |
