Recommended Equipment

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Overall, these trails are in excellent shape. The weed-whacking back in July along CWT has created a nice open corridor. Once off the logging road, it gets a little brushy in places but nothing crazy. There's one odd blowdown that fell in such way that it requires scooching around on a bog bridge. Two bog bridges are broken.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: One aggressive dog which was unleashed. I don't get it.
Bugs
Bugs: Nope.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Harvested some chicken. ;)

Comments
Comments: These trails were a lovely walk in the woods out to the pond, and nearly flat for the entire distance. According to what I've read, this route can be quite wet, but it was totally dry today. Excellent views across the pond to Cherry Mountain, the Pliny Range and the Presidentials from IRT. Very quiet out here today; I relaxed at the shore for an hour, accompanied by dragonflies and a slew of tiny frogs.

As I was leaving, who should come along but Sue and Bonnie from the Cohos Trail Association. Great to see her out there as we had just been discussing these trails.
