No issues. The major brooks on Zealand Trail had a decent amount of water to keep you alive. Whitewall Brook next to Zealand Hut was mostly empty. :( |

A couple of minor blowdowns on EPT. The section of this trail headed south from ZT is brushy in spots and blazing needs to be redone. |

One mask hanging on a branch, a dinosaur toy, and a grasshopper toy. I carried them all out. |

It's been a while since I've been in this area and I always enjoy this walk. I went out into the Notch as far as the base of Whitewall Slide, then backtracked to the hut to meet a friend, and we walked out together. About an eight mile round-trip, but generally flat most of the way, aside from the steep climb to the hut.
Several people passed today, but everyone was respectful in regards to distance and mask wearing. The cool air was most welcome and foliage is turning in the valley, with red color starting to appear. |
