Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Water is ridiculously low out there. Osseo brook completely dry!
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: (Trail Adopter for Lincoln Brook). Trail is in really great shape. Drainages are clean, not that there is any water for them to drain. A gigantic thank you to the USFS Pemi Crew who took the two massive 18"+ widow makers along the Lincoln Brook trail.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Few doggoes on LW.
Bugs
Bugs: Only bugs we found all day where around the two extremely fresh piles of bear scat we found by the beaver ponds.

Comments
Comments: A fine, retro way to the Owl. Up Greenleaf, to around Truman. Saw 3 people to that point, then ran into the bubble of early starters/pemi loopers. Maybe 15-20 in short succession. We dropped into the North Fork of Lincoln Slide and rode it down to the confluence with South and hung out there for a while in awe. Went a different route this time and found the beaver ponds. Noted two fresh piles of bear scat in the area. Cool views of the slide and Garfield! Owl's Head was buzzing with activity, lots around. We went up the slide, but a cold, heavy soaking rain persisted for about 20 minutes and opted to take Brutus out to avoid the wet rock. Brutus is incredibly obvious at this point, its borderline a trail. All in all a fine day for 11/12 Owl and #288 for the Grid, 50% sounds better :)
