Parking/Access Road Notes: a dozen in ammo lot at 6am and out onto the road on return.

Water Crossing Notes: easy to do with low water.

Trail Maintenance Notes: the upper jewell has a lot of "go around" paths causing confusion . also, blazes are few and far between.

Dog-Related Notes: saw a half dozen dogs and well over 100 hikers.

Comments: well it was a downer because the summits were in the clouds and things were slick due to rain yesterday. but i had a good hike and met a lot of hard working hikers. several were running on those ice-like rocks! yikes! anyway, that means i have 46 done and 2 to go of the 48 at 70+.
