tricky section getting around beaver pond on guinea pond trail. Hard to follow, bear right off the trail and path will become more obvious after marshy section |

Black mountain pond trail was relatively easy to follow versus guinea pond trail, which is tricky around the beaver pond, trail bears right. Once at black mountain pond, there are 2 hardened tent sites, so plan to arrive early if it's a busy weekend. Overall, a beautiful backpacking trip to the pond. |
