Enough parking for a car or two at the end of the driveable part of Pike Hill Road. There is a blue sign high in a tree for the Plymouth Mountain Trail. Follow the rocky road another few hundred yards where the trail branches to the right on a grassy side road (another blue Plymouth Mountain Trail sign here, high in a tree so easily missed). Trail continues with easy grades, marked by old Camp Mowglis wolf trail signs, wandering through a pleasant forest environment. One rocky scramble before it meets the Fauver Link Trail at the summit sign. Continue ahead and down the other side following the Fauver Link trail for a few minutes.... on a rocky slab, watch for a trail heading to the right at a point where the main trail drops down over a large rock. Follow this lightly marked trail (small cairns) east to a ledgy viewpoint. |
