Water crossing near beginning of trail was easily hoppable. Steady water running in the streams up high. Made for a few slippery spots but easily managed with care. |

Trail in good shape with evidence of work this season the clear blow downs. This trail is a gem due to the efforts made many years ago by J Rayner Edmands. His work has stood the yes of time. |

| Comments: |
What a great day to get above tree line. Low humidity and fall-like temps were a welcome switch from the hot muggy days we have had this summer. Some clouds hanging over Washington at times. Plenty of wind and probably low 40’s with wind chill. It was great to get back to Ike for the first time in a few years. |
