Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I parked at the small lot 1/10 mile beyond the trailhead of Unknown Pond Trail on Mill Brook Road. Only one other car at the lot, half a dozen on the side of the road on either side of the bridge at the actual trailhead, including a SUV with Maine plates that got too close to the edge of the road and slide sideways off the road into the mud.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Only one and it has a bog bridge.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A fresh leaners near the beginning of Unknown Pond Trail. A tree near the top of Mt. Cabot was pulled out by the root ball. Climbing over the root ball was the easiest way around it.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Only saw a couple today, but not a bad trail for them.
Bugs
Bugs: Too windy today

Comments
Comments: Finally, a cool day for hiking.

The only place you needed to be careful was just below the summit of Mt. Cabot where a little water was running down the gravel, making it very loose.
