| Comments: |
The first two miles of the hike to the ridge are easy with good footing. After the last small stream crossing the trail gets steeper for the remaining 1.6 miles to the ridge. There is one short boulder area to get thru. At the ridge one turns left to continue on to the summit. A short ways after that is another sign with trail names but no mention of Mt. Moriah. Here you continue straight slightly to the left. From the ridge the trail rises over a series of ledges with commanding views to the east and to the Presidentials to the west Eventually you reach another sign indicating the spur trail to Mt. Moriah's summit. This trail begins with a steep ledge climb. The summit ledge has limited space. |
