Comments
Comments: This is my kind of mountain. Between this moon cycle, and poor sleep from hard training, I was in a 'Get off my lawn!!' pissy mood. And then I saw those steep inclines coming up and I knew what I needed to do! The trail is perfect for a wind sprint kind of workout; drive right into those steeps until your heart is pounding and your lungs are in full dogpant, and then comes a view point, so drop your metabolism back down and rest. And then do it again. Because there's more steeps, followed by another viewpoint rest stop. And another and another. Trail is perfectly setup; its as good as doing 1/4 mile wind sprints on a track.
And the views are outstanding. There are multiple places where you can get away and get into it, and then change to another viewpoint and let that all soak in.
