Just a simple out and back to the south peak with a side trip along General's Trail, which is an odd route. It makes an almost complete loop back to the AT but doesn't really lead anywhere. A few showers during the hike, but nothing heavy. We could see Cardigan being dumped on though from the south peak outlook.
Lots of thru-hikers out today, mostly headed north. Cooler temps and a nice breeze made for more comfortable hiking. Also nice to run into Rick and Lisa out there. |
