Beautiful day to hike and once you get to the alpine zone the temperate were in the 50’s and felt nice with a little breeze. I left the parking lot at 8:50am and returned at 2:49pm. I had some snacks and took an extended view of the Presidential’s. Mount Washington was mostly clear and great views of the southern and northern peaks. I met a few people along the way and the brief conversations. Always a great day when you have mostly blue sky’s. I had not hiked the peak because I have read the caps ledges and ridges were steep and scary. I will agree the are just that. You do a lot of scrambling on the caps. One step and hand hold at a time and sit down shimming on the way down. Not too bad though. |
