| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Got the last spot at the Zealand lot at ~0830 Saturday, with several cars extending down the road and into the overflow area. Upon return, ~1130 Sunday, there were more spots in the lot open, but still several cars on the road. $5 fee or pass required. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |

| Recommended Equipment: |

|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
All bridged or rock hops. Nothing to get your ankles wet. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A-Z is getting brushy, especially near the Zealand junction. Nice nice fresh axe work throughout several of these trails. Thanks! |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Would be excellent for dogs given the ample water available and not too difficult terrain. The ladders may be sketchy for some (especially with shorter legs) but there were several out and about today enjoying life. |
|
| Bugs: |
More of an annoyance around your face than anything else. Not many bites at all. |

| Comments: |
Crossed Field and Willey of the list for my son and filled in some small missing red line sections. Camped at Ethan Pond Saturday night, which provided excellent pond swimming and star/comet gazing. AMC caretaker said most campsites have caretakers only on weekends with no one during the week (and no fees). The exceptions are the Liberty Spring, Garfield, and Guyout sites. Hiking out on the AT was quite enjoyable given the flat terrain and dry-ish conditions. Ethan Pond trail has it's mussy spots but the bog bridges are in great shape for the most part. Awesome views through Zealand Notch and a nice quick rest stop at the hut capped off a great time in the woods. |
