the usual superb Bratts trail tending in evidence. The hiking community owes a debt of gratitude to Hal, Steve and their crew. I hope to volunteer again this summer. |

Yes. We donned bug nets after the Charbonneau cave side trail and wore them all day. The hubby got a tick but removed it fast. |

Lovely little trek with the hubby and twin sons. No view at Anna, mostly overgrown views at Mack but easy trail. Minimal to no water/mud near the bridge at the base of Old Stage Road. Mindful of the unfortunate passing of a hiker on Welch-Dickey in the oppressive heat a few days earlier (RIP), a gentleman who was even younger than us, we decided to skip the trek to Klem and Rand and return another day. Minimal views but upon return we went down the Blue Trail 0.2 mi to a lovely westward viewpoint. #9-10 of the Belknap 12-pack. |
