Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parking is at Bowman, same as the Castle Trail. There were some construction signs up; I think they were doing work on a private residence further back. No problem parking there though. Just make sure you’re not in the middle of things as there were large trucks passing through.
Surface Conditions

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Note that there appears to be a new start for the Rollo Fall Path. The guidebook describes it as starting on the grassy road behind the rail trail at Bowman but there’s now a sign for it a short ways into the rail trail (headed west from Bowman) that connects with the grassy road, then continues. I don’t believe the trail was blazed but it was easy to follow.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Would be fine for dogs. Saw two wet ones that jumped on me unleashed.
Bugs
Bugs: The annoying little face ones and some mosquitos I think but nothing too terrible.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Picked some trash up off the rail trail.

Comments
Comments: Part 4 of my clean up day for redlining. First I did the 0.9mi section of the rail trail I was kissing between Bowman and Lowe’s Path along with Rollo Fall Path. Then, I drove to Appalachia and did an out-and-back on the 0.9mi section between Randolph East and Bowman. The rail trail was dry and not too overgrown. Only one biker seen through the woods while at Appalachia.

Note that there appears to be a new start for the Rollo Fall Path. The guidebook describes it as starting on the grassy road behind the rail trail at Bowman but there’s now a sign for it a short ways into the rail trail (headed west from Bowman) that connects with the grassy road, then continues. It looked like you could still access it from the grassy road directly from Bowman if you wanted to though. There are private property signs just pay it up the driveway (where the constru toon was happening) though. From Bowman, face up the driveway perpendicular to the rail trail. Just past the rail trail the grassy road diverges left in between the rail trail and driveway (diagonally). The falls were small but nice. A couple benches to sit too. A nice place to sit and think :)
