Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Crawford Connector is blazed in blue and Crawford Cliff spur is blazed in yellow. Both seemed to be blazed fairly regularly. Only blowdown I recall is a mid- sized one hanging above the trail on the cliff spur. Easy to duck under.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: The cliff spur is steep and rugged and times but most hiking dogs could probably handle it.
Bugs
Bugs: Bugs weren’t too bothersome. I didn’t use spray.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: None

Comments
Comments: Part 1 of a clean up day for redlining. Finally got the Crawford Cliff Spur. Many cars in the parking lot but I didn’t see anyone on trail. Just one young family getting ready in the parking lot that made me smile :) The connector has easy/moderate grades but the cliff spur is generally much steeper and more rugged with some eroded and poor footing. Easy to tell where it went on the way up but I found the erosion made it all look sort of the same on the way down which proved a little disorienting. Nice little view from the cliffs. The trails were mostly dry but some wet spots due to erosion and minor mud.
