Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails were generally in good shape. The ski trail wasn't the nicest trail out there-could use some cleaning-but no real obstacles.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Only one friendly black lab today. Pack in extra water as there's very little on the trail
Bugs
Bugs: Black flies at the bottom of the mountain were awful, but they went away higher up where there was a breeze

Comments
Comments: Originally planned to do this one last Thursday, but it was socked in by clouds (did a little hike to Arethusa falls that day instead); today was much nicer. Did a counter-clockwise loop from the trailhead: up old path, then new path to the south peak, then used the ski trail down from the north peak. Old path is short but packs quite a punch, and was rather steep the whole way! Was glad to go up this way however, as the ski trail ended up being a quick, gentle descent.

Excellent views to the west from the south peak's ledge. 52 WAV requires hiking both peaks now, which makes perfect sense as the views on North were a lot more limited. Overall, a nice short hike, but I'm feeling this one right now!

35/52 WAV
