Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Minor, rock hoppable, several on Unknown Pond trail
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Both Bunnell Notch and Unknown Pond trails had areas of overgrowth covering the trails making it difficult to see where you were going. Would be a carwash if the greenery was wet. Otherwise no major issues.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: A couple friendly canines
Bugs: None except right at the summit of Cabot.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found:
Comments: Kilkenny Ridge trail is a rough go with plenty of roots and large rocks to pick your way around. Feels much wilder than many other trails. No views on the Horn as everything was in the clouds. Met some people heading the opposite direction from their tent site at Unknown Pond. Unknown Pond trail was relatively steep descending from the pond, but levels out nicely for the last mile and a half. A rigorous loop!
