Comments
Comments: Ledge Trail was more interesting than expected. The slabs going to the first ledge view were quite wet and looked greasey with lichen, so I was carefully moved out to get around that. Decided to circle back via the short trail through the woods that starts at the junction with the Pine Mtn Trail and the path to the Horton Center. This short section of trail parallels the road about 50 ft above it and then meets the road presumably when the Center property ends. This section was wet, muddy and slippery, reminding me of the Link. A maintenance guy was operating a small front end loader, trenching one side of the road that had washed out for about 100 yards in the rain they'd had the day or two prior. He said it was Forest Service property but the Center has an agreement with the FS to use the road but maintain it.
