| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
yes yes and yes. Moriah brook needs some brushing and then there is hgihwater trail... or may I say no trail. There are bushwhack reroutes as the trail is now gone and into the river. When the trail is there it is great but when it was not-good luck. We got turned around before we made it to the junction of shelburne which was a pain and just crossed a river to get back to it which was fine. |

Well It was a nice day out and the bushwhack over to howe peak was not terrible. We were able to find an old old olldd trail with cairns leading to the peak with a view I may add. We tried to follow it down but it soon disappeareed after the ridge. Only one tight section and then some mucky section and then open again with old footbed. We got some lunch on top of shelburne and saw our only people out on moriah. We headed down moriah brook and filtered water on this hot hot hot day. This area is great but a little muddy yet we had no rain lately so that was helpful. Once to highwater it was good for about a mile and then it was junk and i say junk read above. Then were finally were out for a big redline day. |
