Deer flies were brutal for the first mile otherwise not too bad today |

Great late morning to hike mostly in the shade of the trees for sure. It was nice to personally thank the US Forest Service trail workers for their hard work cleaning up the trails. Very hot day to be swinging an ax. I met many happy hikers today in the trail. |
