Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The main lot on Ferncroft was getting full by 7:30 (Thursday before 4th of July), but there is plenty of parking on the side of the road. There is a porta-potty at the end of the parking lot by the Wonalancet Range Trail head.
Surface Conditions

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Rock hopping on Tom Wiggin Trail over Wonalancet River was dicey (hah) without poles, but doable. Water was high and rocks wet and slippery.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails were in good shape, but the recent rains made everything slick. Trail markings were fading and spotty, but trail was mostly easy to follow, except going up to Whiteface. I hit a dead end on a bare rock outcropping with a great view, and it took a bit to realize I needed to scale rather large boulder/wall to continue on the path.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Didn't see any dogs.
Bugs: Lots of bugs.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found:
Comments: Did a loop going to Whiteface, Passaconaway, Square, Hibbard and Wonalancet. Sky was clear, but it was kind of hot and humid. The previous 3 days thunderstorms left the trail wet, with lots of slick rocks, roots and leaves, making descents a pain in the ass (literally, for me, a few times). The outcroppings near Whiteface and Passaconaway had great views (take a side trek to the view point near Passaconaway, it's beautiful), the rest were just in the trees.
