Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The main purpose of this trail report is to note that as of yesterday morning the water crossing at the beginning of Wildcat Ridge Trails is do able. The water is still quite deep and could carry you a ways but there are lots of large rocks to hop across on. If you go directly across, then there’s a large jump at the end that I personally wouldn’t feel comfortable making so I’d stay slightly to the left. My trekking poles gave me some piece of mind.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Note that the color of the blaze changes on the Wildcat Ridge Trail. Below Lost Pond Trail it’s blue and above it it is white. This is because above it it’s part of the AT and below it it is not. Also make sure you makes the sharp turn left after going through the underpass to get on Wildcat Ridge Trail. No blowdowns on either trail. Nice trail work on Glen Ellis Falls Trail.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: None seen. Wildcat Ridge would likely be a struggle due to the large water crossing but Glen Ellis Falls would be a find Trail for them.
Bugs
Bugs: None I recall.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: None

Comments
Comments: I did a short out-and-back on the 0.1mi of Wildcat Ridge Trail I needed since I knew the water crossing would be lower than usual. See my notes on it above. Since I was there and had never done it before, I also did the Glen Ellis Falls Trail. A good hike to do with older folks but note that it’s all downhill so you’re gaining a bit of elevation on the way back. Not too crowded. Just a few other groups out on a Monday morning. The path was wet at times.
