This will be a 'one and done' for this loop. Hot, incredibly buggy and muggy. I feel like the Dementors from Harry Potter came and took my joy today. Trail was as mentioned buggy, periods of muddy and did I mention buggy? The one view at The Horn could not be enjoyed because of the attacks. The one place that did not see buggy was the view before Cabot on the rocks (Bunnell Rock)- that was nice. Saw about 7 people mainly doing the loop. I chose clockwise and few others the other way. Heard some music coming from Cabot Hut!. And saw a few that appeared to be camping at Unknown Pond. Can we also call out that name? lol I am more than happy to name the trail and the pond---I feel like someone was just asleep that day. Lots of evidence of moose on the trail near the pond. |
