 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Originally headed to Dummer Pond Road from Route 16 but the entrance is blocked due to a road construction project. Took Muzzy Hill Road/110A over to Route 110N and headed down Paris Road instead. At about 4 miles to go to the other end we found a nice pullout next to the stream to park. |

Headed into the woods somewhat steeply until we popped out onto and overgrown woods road. We followed this road making adjustments at the many junctions with other woods roads. Occasionally cut through the woods to find other roads heading more towards the summit but pretty much followed woods roads to just below the highpoint. As the road started to head away and down, we headed into the woods and in about .1 mile we were at the summit jar! On the way down, we decided to see how far we could get by staying on the old woods roads. These roads are pretty clear until you get near the bottom where they become a little more overgrown with ferns, etc. but still easy to follow. When we got to a point just above our car, we cut into the woods and made a steep, quick descent through scattered pines to a spot about 200 yards from our car. Driving back towards Stark, we noticed a woods road about .1 mile from our car which may have been the one we took down and could be a way to summit staying on woods roads almost all the way. |
