Two small black dogs unleashed. |

| Bugs: |
Bugs were VERY bad. Bring a headnet and maybe bug spray. Although not biting, these irrational irritating insects can nearly drive you mad if you don't keep up a steady pace. (Part of the problem I think was that the wind speed was very low. In other words, the bug situation should be better on a slightly windier day.) |

A great hike up Mt. Jefferson. The Caps Ridge Trail had some pretty fun scrambling, with one especially steep and tricky section going up the Middle Cap. It was a beautiful clear day which made the spectacular views even nicer.
Very glad to see our car (aka, a place of escape from the bugs), at the end. Glad to bag another trail on the Terrifying 25 hiking list. |
