Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Lincoln Woods Trailhead has port-a-potties in the lot. Paid parking in effect, with envelopes and pay kiosk active. (I think it is $5) I use my Recreation Pass sticker I bought via mail order.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: ALL water crossings rock hoppable due to dry stretch of weather. The large crossings at the beginning of Lincoln Brook trail took some thinking, but I kept the boots on and the TEVA sandals got a free ride today. Hiking poles very helpful.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails in fine shape. Some blowdowns to go around. Some are located at deep mud. Watch your step.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Yes. Bugs. Wear a neck or head net protector. I also choose to wear a thin long sleeve shirt. No bugs on the triceps, forearms, or elbows. Gaiters useful, too.
