A very long and hot day that took it out of me. Bugs were everywhere so stopping for any length of time was difficult. Mt Hight- highly recommend- wonderful views and met a lady on #46 and her grandson (I think) doing his #1. Just a few others on the trail but most of the day without anyone. Maybe it was just the end of challenging day, but not a fan of the Imp trail coming down; was dreaming of the glorious road walk in my future to get off that trail. If there had been some wind to blow off the evil bugs I would have enjoyed Mt Hight much longer. Was shocked to still see some snow between Carter Dome and Hight (easily avoidable) Lots of activity at Camp Dodge when I stumbled off the trail to cut over to road. I felt like I had more to report but still recovering writing this. |
