|Hiking Trail Conditions Report|
||Mt. Eisenhower, NH|
||Edmands Path, Eisenhower Loop|
|Date of Hike:
||Wednesday, June 17, 2020|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Plenty of room late afternoon/early evening, but evidence that the lot had overflowed during the day. Mt. Clinton Road is open all the way, but Jefferson Notch Road is still gated. |
||Dry Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||One unbridged crossing, rock hoppable at current levels. |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||No blowdowns. Lots of unmitigated erosion. |
||Black flies were vexing at times this evening and could not be outrun. |
|Lost and Found:
||Trails were generally dry with some minor mud and a little bit of running water.|
Still some alpine flowers in bloom, including diapensia and lapland rosebay.
Sad to see the continued unmitigated erosion on this trail, folks leaving "rock art" on top of alpine vegetation (I removed it to save the vegetation), as well as the COVID mask litter near treeline.
