Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A couple of large trees down across nearer south end of Ledge Pond Road, chainsaw required for removal. The section between Hogg Hill Road on the gravel part to the maintained part of North Road is poorly blazed. We didn't know if we should go straight ahead on the grassy or curve left into someone's driveway, we had to consult our map and the homeowner that was gardening confirmed the correct direction. The few blazes we did find were obstructed by tree limbs.
Dog-Related Notes

Bugs
Bugs: nice and breezy again so lucked out with the flying bugs, flicked one tick off my leg and no one else found any ticks surprising since the Ledge Pond Road had some long grassy sections.

Comments: Sunapee-Ragged-Kearsarge Greenway, Section 3, Deer Hill Road to Sunapee Town Hall

This felt more like a long walk on town roads than a hike today. The class VI road section lacked blazes and some parts were quite grassy and appeared to have little foot traffic. We enjoyed the view of Mt.Sunapee from the high point of North Road. Just under 2.5 hours to cover this trail section. Nice to have Sharon and Ellen join us today.
