Comments
Comments: Walked FR 106, which was in outstanding shape, making for quick walking to the HOL. I was looking for evidence of an old trail that was purported to be up there, and explored what looked like a trail/old road heading towards the summit. But as this trail kept going north, I turned off it and bushwhacked to the summit through easy woods. Nearing the summit and seeing 'light,' I aimed to the east to get a look at what appeared to be open view spots and I bumped into the old trail with an obvious foot bed. I followed this to the top. After signing in and enjoying the sheltered views of the Presidentials, I tried to follow the trail back down. While the trail was obvious across the dry lichens and moss of the summit area, the trail all but disappeared as I descended into the ferns and forest. So I took a bearing and aimed for the road which wasn't really that far away.

Nice easy one, and fun bumping into an old trail.
