Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked behind the Washington Town Hall. We drove Halfmoon Pond Road almost all the way and we should and could have gone all the way but I found a good pull off before a big puddle and knew we were almost there.... Last half mile to reach the road crossing on Halfmoon Pond Road is rough but a small SUV can easily handle it. One Subaru was parked at the intersection, they dared.

Pretty day to be on the trail. Road walk from Washington's common was nice, lots of lupines, stonewalls and such. Breezy and cool made for perfect hiking weather and kept the bugs away. Charlie joined us and we had a nice time together. Nice views from the outlook ledges near the Lovewell's summit with good view of Pats Peak's summit ha ha. Becca and Charlie saw a large Milk Snake on the summit, I am glad I missed it. Lots of Pink Ladyslippers on the north side of Lovewell. Only saw one couple on the trail just starting up from the north side of the mountain. Good day hike for a NH (former) Fire Tower Peak and it is a NH2k too.
